Dr. Xilin Xia

Assistant Professor in Resilience Engineering, University of Birmingham

Dr Xia is a promising early-career researcher with an interest in natural hazard risk management and infrastructure resilience, utilising high-performance numerical models and machine learning methods. Dr Xia played a key role in the development of ‘hipims’, an open-source flood modelling software used in research and industry in 30 countries.
